- 2 tbsp roasted peanuts
- 1 tbsp green raisins
- 1 tbsp chopped almonds
- 1small bunch of curry leaves
- 2 tbsp fresh coriander
- 1 tbsp fresh mint leaves
- 3-4 green chilli
Spice Mix
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp chaat masala
- 1 tsp roasted cumin powder
- Β½ tsp black salt
- Β½ tsp sea salt (adjust)
- Β½ tsp jaljeera masala
- pinch citric acid / nimbu phool sat
How to Make Namkeen
First, lightly roast curry leaves, mint, fresh coriander, and green chilli in a pan. Roast only for a few seconds until aromatic. Then cool slightly and grind into a coarse paste.
Next, dry roast peanuts, green raisins, and chopped almonds separately. Keep them aside.
Meanwhile, take one small bowl and mix all the spices. This ensures even flavour distribution.
After that, take a large mixing bowl. Add rice puff (murmura).
Now add the prepared mint-coriander-curry leaves paste. Then add roasted peanuts, almonds, and raisins.
Sprinkle the prepared spice mix evenly on top.
Finally, mix everything gently so the rice puff remains crisp. Allow it to rest for 5 minutes so the flavours blend beautifully.
