A warm, soothing, traditional Gond Rab made with edible gond, jaggery, dry fruits & healing spices. Perfect for winter immunity, joint pain, bone strength & hormonal balance — especially for women 40+.
⭐ 🧾 Ingredients (For 2 people)
- 2 tbsp edible gond
- 1 tbsp pure ghee
- 1.5 cups water
- ½ tsp ajwain (carom seeds)
- ½ tsp saunth (dry ginger powder)
- 2–3 tbsp jaggery
- 2–3 tbsp finely chopped roasted mixed dry fruits
(magaz, almonds, grated dry coconut, cashew, pistachios, walnut, chironji) - 1 pinch cardamom powder
⭐ 👩🍳 Method (Simple & Healing)
1️⃣ Roast the Gond
- Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan.
- Add 2 tbsp gond and roast on a low flame until it puffs, turns crispy & light.
- Remove and keep aside.
2️⃣ Prepare the Rab Base
- In the same pan, add ajwain (carom seeds) — let them crackle for a few seconds.
- Pour 1.5 cups of water.
- Bring to a gentle simmer.
3️⃣ Add Healing Spices
- Add ½ tsp saunth (dry ginger powder).
- Add a pinch of cardamom powder.
- Mix well.
4️⃣ Add Gond & Nuts
- Add the roasted puffed gond.
- Add 2–3 tbsp mixed roasted dry fruits.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
5️⃣ Sweeten with Jaggery
- Switch the flame to low.
- Add 2–3 tbsp jaggery.
- Stir until the jaggery melts completely.
(Do not boil after adding jaggery.)
6️⃣ Serve Warm
