The word charnamirt means nectar from the feet of God. It is made with five things and with Panchmewa. Charnamrit is a sweet drink offer after prayer. Panchamirt Prasad prepared for Janmashtami, Satyanarayana Katha, Ganesh Chaturthi Pooja any other rituals then offered to the guest.
Ingredients:
- 1/2cup curd
- 1cup milk (full fat)
- 1tbs pure ghee
- 1tbsGanga jal (holy water)
- 1tbs honey
- Sugar(powder) to taste
- 2-3 Tulsi leaf
Panchmewa
- 8-10 raisins
- 5-6almond (thin sliced)
- 8-10 lotus seed (roast thin sliced)
- 1/2tbs chironji
- 2small cardamom(grounded)
Method:
First, take curd in a bowl and mix it with spoon don’t whisk with beater or mixer because in charnamrit curd should be seen, no liquid.
Add milk, sugar, ghee, honey, Ganga jal and panchmewa mix it well.
Make it half an hour before and put in the fridge.
Serve it cool
