Brown butter adds a nutty, caramel flavour to these brownies that takes them to the next level. So grab your apron and get ready to whip up a batch of the most delicious brown butter brownies you’ve ever tasted.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Method :

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan and set it aside.
  2. In a medium-sized saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once it has melted, continue to cook the butter until it turns a golden brown colour and smells nutty, stirring frequently. This should take about 5-7 minutes. Remove the pan from heat and set it aside to cool slightly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Stir in the browned butter and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Add the eggs to the mixture, one at a time, stirring well after each addition.
  5. Fold in the flour until just combined. Be careful not to overmix the batter.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre of the brownies comes out clean.
  8. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares and serving.

Enjoy these decadent brown butter brownies with a cold glass of milk or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. They’re sure to be a hit with anyone who tries them!
