Prepare the Dough:
- In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and instant yeast. Allow it to sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- In a larger mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil.
- Mix until the dough comes together. Knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Prepare the Garlic Spread:
- In a bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili flakes, and salt. Combine well to create a flavorful spread.
Assemble and Bake:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Punch down the risen dough and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
- Spread the prepared garlic mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough.
- Roll the dough tightly from one end to form a log and seal the edges.
- Place the rolled garlic bread log on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and cooked through.
Serve:
- Once baked, remove the garlic bread from the oven and let it cool slightly.
- Slice the bread into pieces and arrange them on a serving plate.
- Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro for an extra burst of flavor.
