Sesame(til) Ke Ladoo

Today is the festival of Makara Sakaranti,13th was Lohari so the time is roasted peanut, peanut chikki, sesame chikki,khichari of black gram, and rice, so today I made til ke ladoos. White sesame, jaggery(gur),mawa(khoya) ladoos are the essential part of this festival, these til ke ladoo are mouthwatering and delicious. In the winter season. Til sweets are consumed to mark the harvest seasons around India. Sesame seeds are full of calcium, magnesium, iron and many other nutrients.Sesame(til)and jaggery are also considered inflammatry& have excellent healing of properties.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups white sesame seeds(unpolished)

250 gm.grated khoya(mawa)

200gm.Sugar powderd or as per taste

8-10 almond(finely chopped

10-12 Roasted Cashew (finely chopped)

2-3 tbsp ghee or add as per required

Method:

First take a haeavy bottamed wok(kadhai) or pan on low to medium flame ,add sesame seeds and roast 2-3 minutes,sesame seeds start cracking &popping sound start sesame seed is ready.

Take a plate remove them and put aside for cool them,then they are fully cool take a grinder jar and grind them just few second not make powder.

Next heat same wok or kadhai on low flame add grated khoya, stirring continuously roast 2-3 minutes then switch off the flame then add the ground sesame seeds, sugar, chopped almond, and cashew mix it very well

Add ghee if required,mix it well and start make ladoo,take some portion of mixture in your palm and give shape into ladoos.

Store them in airtight container & refrigerate.
